Autumn Beauties - Clover, SC Senior Photographer, Teen Photographer

While visiting Virginia for my daughter's first birthday party, the autumn color in my parents' yard was just too amazing not to take advantage of it with an impromptu photo session. Luckily my gorgeous nieces were present and happy to model for me!
I love them both, and not just because they help me indulge in my photo obsession.... :-)
And no "session" with these beautiful girls is complete without a few shots of them together. Thank you both for always being so willing provide me with photography subjects at a moments notice!

Congrats, Grad! - Clover, SC Senior Photos

We were lucky enough to be able to attend my gorgeous niece's high school graduation. We are all so very proud of her and know that she will go far!
CONGRATS, Morgan!!
I couldn't resist a quick photo of Morgan's equally stunning younger sister, Baylie. And my own little guy (having recently "graduated" from Kindergarten) had to get in on the cap-throwing action, as well!

Happy New Year! - Concord, NC Senior & Teen Photographer

Happy New Year! I got to start my new year off right with some headshots for this beautiful young lady! She is a very talented quarter midget race car driver at NCQMA and needed a few photos for her sponsorship presentations.

Lovely Graduation Announcements - Charlotte, NC Senior Photography

Morgan's senior photos were the perfect addition to a fun and modern custom graduation announcement.

The vibrant colors just popped off of the shimmery pearl cardstock! Here are some sample photos of the actual printed cards. The coral color in her skirt made the perfect accent color to use in the card design.

Morgan - Charlotte, NC Senior Photographer

This year I had the pleasure of photographing one of my gorgeous nieces for her senior portrait session.

My husband's family has a cabin up in the mountains of Virginia with beautiful scenic views and sweeping grassy fields. It made the perfect backdrop for this self-proclaimed "country girl."
She picked two different looks for her photo session, one casual with jeans and a flowy top and then also a more formal dress. She looked fantastic in both!
I was also able to use that fabulous coral color from the skirt of the dress as an accent on her graduation announcements.

Congrats, Morgan! I am so happy that I was able to be part of this special time in your life!

Portrait of a Dancer - Lake Wylie, SC Portrait Photography

When the beautiful Miss B contacted me about shadowing my photography work for a school project, I was happy to have her come tag along for a little while. After answering a few questions about how I got started in photography and what that entails, I got back behind the lens to do a few head shots for this aspiring, and very talented, dancer.

Isn't she gorgeous? I loved the bright colors that she chose for her photos and I had to make sure she gave me some scarf tying lessons before she left.

With that stunning mega-watt smile and graceful poise, it's not hard to imagine that she might one day add modeling to her list of accomplishments in addition to dancing!

Best of luck at your next dance competition and I'll look forward to having you back in front of my camera again soon!

Dayton - Rock Hill, SC Teen & Senior Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing Dayton in Rock Hill recently. Dayton is very interested in fashion and photography, so I knew this session would be amazing! He was a natural poser and so relaxed in front of the camera. Dayton brought some great clothes to his session that really complimented the urban setting. It wouldn't surprise me if there might be some modeling in his future!

Dayton used my senior inspiration boards here and here to choose 2 outfits for his session, one casual and one more preppy.

We found a fantastic alleyway with cool graffiti and amazing light.

Sometimes the places that you would never expect make the most beautiful backdrops, like these overgrown vines at the edge of a parking lot that just sparkled when the sun shone behind them.

As the sun set at the end of our session, we caught some spectacular haze and flare. Doesn't he look like he should be in a magazine?

Sorry for the photo overload, but I loved so many that it was impossible to pick only a few favorites!

Thanks, Dayton! I had a incredible time at your session and I can't wait to photograph you again. You can model for me anytime, just remember me when you make it big! ;-)

Happy Mother's Day! - Clover, SC Family Photographer

I hope each of you mommas out there had a fantastic Mother's Day! In honor of Mother's Day, I have a fabulous extended family session to show you on the Speechless blog.

If parts of this family look familiar to you, then you've been paying attention! That's right, those gorgeous blue eyes and adorable chubby cheeks belong to that cute cowboy whose newborn photos were just blogged a few months ago. Does the time fly or what? I didn't think he could get any cuter, but obviously I was wrong!

His momma Amy wanted to do an extended Mother's Day session with her sister's family so that they could gift family photos to their Mom. I can't think of a more meaningful gift than that!

Fences, Painted Walls & Trains, Oh my! - Charlotte, NC Senior Photographer

I had so much fun at this urban session with the beautiful Miss Sophie! She is such a natural model and has a gorgeous smile.

Morgan & Baylie - Lake Wylie, SC Family Photographer

I seem to have good luck with finding gorgeous sisters to photograph, and Morgan and Baylie were no exception to that! I just loved how my session with these two blonde-haired beauties turned out! I also had the chance to photograph Morgan with her boyfriend, Kyle, so look for those in a future blog post. We had a fantastic country setting and lovely weather for the photos which made my job even easier. I just love it when everything comes together like it did for this session!

Sisters - Charlotte, NC Senior Photographer

I wanted to share a few of my favorites from a photography workshop that I took. I had the opportunity to take pictures of two sisters at the Aloft Hotel in Ballantyne. The session was styled similar to a senior session.
